Last night as we were awaiting Michael’s return from a long day at work, the boys’ bedtime came and went. I sent Jacob to grab some library books and we cuddled up on the couch to read and wait.
About 10 minutes into our reading session, I noticed Eli was feeling a bit heavy and upon further inspection, he was found to be fast asleep. He was cuddled up on me just like he use to do when he was a wee one! This is the scene Michael saw upon returning home!
Cuddle time is a very rare occurrence with 4 year olds, thus making it a finer thing!!

Oh, that HEAVY feeling… I don’t think there’s a parent alive who doesn’t know exactly what you mean by that! Cuddle time is very precious, indeed!

I just found your blog and this pic immediately got my attention. What a precious gift! I have a 6 year old who loves to snuggle, and after going through some really tough things, I have to say, I do believe it’s the Lord’s best medicine to us Mommy’s.
It looks like you’ve had some pretty hard things yourself, and I can only imagine the challenges and emotions that moving brings, even if you do it often. I’m adding your blog to my page so that I can remember to keep you and yours in my prayers. My family is thankful for what your family sacrifices for our country.
God Bless!
