When baking or cooking, do you ever run out of usable counter/work space? Yes. Oh good, I’m not the only one!
I frequently cover my entire work space while creating a meal or preparing something to bake. This makes it a problem for me to have my entire recipe binder sitting out, also on that same work space.
So, last week I had this bright idea (at least, I think it’s a bright idea!)
Do you see that recipe? It’s hanging on the hood above my stove. I simply took a magnet from the fridge and popped it right up there. Now I have a handy recipe holder at eye level and don’t have to worry about losing my recipe binder in the mess of my counters!
Also, I find the best way to prevent splattering, etc. is to make sure you keep the recipe in it’s page protector sleeve. This way it can be wiped with a damp cloth before it’s put away.

That IS a bright idea, and I bet your favorite recipes will last much longer that way! ~Liz

Yes, I “lose” things on my kitchen counter all the time! Great idea!

My favorite thing that I found to keep from losing recipes is to install a corkboard inside the cupboard door that I can leave open while cooking. It’s so great to keep my recipe there, along with my menu plan for the week and my monthly plan.
Perfect!
What was on your stove in the foil??

In the foil is a batch of yummy bread machine cinnamon rolls!! The recipe came from Crystal at Money Saving Mom and they are amazing!
What a great idea!
I am so messy in the kitchen and recipes always get splatters on them

I do something similar. I have a command hook attached to the cabinet next to the stove. I hang the recipes on it when cooking, and a cute pot holder or dishtowel (both things I can rarely find when I need them) when I’m not cooking.
Sara – that’s a good idea. I bet it helps with the recipe not being right in your face while standing at the stove! I might have to try your way, too!
